Comments:Love will be in the air for both the furry and human kind at the Escondido Humane Society?s Valentine's Day Pet Portraits on Feb. 4. The community is invited to stop by EHS to have their pets' photos taken in front of a festive backdrop, just in time to create Valentine's Day cards for their sweethearts. Furry Valentines are, after all, the ?purrfect? gift for the animal lovers in our lives. For a $10 donation to EHS, participants will receive a keepsake 4x6 photo; for an additional $10, they will receive a CD with the digital files. Valentine's Day Pet Portraits is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Escondido Humane Society, 3450 E. Valley Parkway. Comments:The Escondido Humane Society?s Paws in the Park dog walk is sure to be a howling good time for people and their canine companions. The annual dog walk, which will raise funding and awareness for homeless and abandoned animals, is from 8 a.m. to noon March 25 at Kit Carson Park, 3333 Bear Valley Parkway in Escondido. Post-walk festivities include a Paw vendor expo, games, contests, entertainment and more. Walkers can register online at www.escondidohumanesociety.org.
