Comments:Support police dogs at ?Hearts & Paws? K-9 Valentine fund raiser, Feb 11
Join Vested Interest in K-9s and 12-year-old Samantha Gagnon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Especially for Pets, 95 Washington Street, Village Shoppes, Canton, MA, to ?Open your heart and help protect a K-9.?
Samantha successfully raised funds in 2011 through nonprofit, Vested Interest in K-9s to outfit each of the three Fall River police dogs with bullet and stab protective vests. She will continue her mission to assist a hard working, dedicated police dog with a bullet and stab protective vest just in time for Valentine?s Day. Her goal is to raise $1006 on Saturday, Feb. 11.
To make a K-9 your valentine, stop by and meet several Massachusetts police K-9 teams who will be visiting Especially for Pets at 1pm and join the festivities.
Also participating at the ?Hearts & Paws? event will be Avon Products, Verizon Fios of Lakeville and Canton, GoldnSilver and Lorie-Lyn Photography. Each business has joined Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. as a fund raising partner and a percentage of their sales for the day will go to the nonprofit.
For a $20 donation Avon Products is offering, Bernard the Polar Bear; this 14-inch soft-bodied stuffed animal with blue eyes is wearing a winter hat and scarf. A ?Loving Moments? silver necklace with three hearts in a heart shaped gift box for $5 is also available. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to Vested Interest in K-9s.
If you?d like to help, but have enough stuffed animals, you may purchase Bernard the Bear and donate him back to the cause. In turn, Vested Interest in K-9s will donate to the We Love Children Foundation of the Greater Fall River area who assist needy children.
Or want to earn some cash and help the cause at the same time? Bring in your unwanted gold, silver or platinum for instant cash on the spot. GoldnSilver will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. paying out
