September 29, 2013
Harrisburg, PA 17101
Comments:A "Canine Explosion" to Bark About on Sunday, Sept. 29 The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance is thrilled to host its ninth year of WoofStock on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. along beautiful Riverfront Park in Harrisburg. This great and groovy festival grew from 40 vendors in 2005 to 180 vendors in 2012. This is the day the dogs come out to PLAY! It¬?s a fun day¬?¬?. with a serious message. It was created to be a huge adoption event to bring all the rescues and shelters in central Pennsylvania and beyond together to help their animals get adopted, and to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering and kindness to animals, and boy, did it ever. Meet many adoptable animals, animal related celebrities and authors while you stroll Riverfront Park. Listen to the sounds of awesome bands and acoustics performers throughout the day. Don¬?t miss the popular Funkytown Pet Costume Contest. Please stop by CPAA¬?s WoofStock outta-sight raffle and t-shirt booths. Grab a bite to eat from one of the food vendors attending this doggie love-in. Be sure to arrive early to be able to visit all the various vendors.Go-go boots and bouffant hairdos are not required to attend this day where tie dye will reign, music will rock and canines will roll!
