Comments:The Pike River Trail Run & Walk will start like a cross country meet and then you will experience single track, rocks, roots, water and hills! Some running will be on a paved bike path, golf course, groomed trails and single track rugged trails. You will cross/run through the Pike River two times (you have the option of running/walking around the water and using the bridge) throughout the 6.5 miles. The Trail Walk will follow the same trail as the runners for about 1 mile, you will then be on some of the best walking trails in Southeast Wisconsin. The trees will be bursting with Fall colors and if you like bring your camera/smart phone for some great pictures and selfies! The CaniCross event will an approximate 3 mile loop. CaniCross is a growing sport where the dog pulls the runners throughout the race course. It is a great way for dogs and their owners can be active and enjoy the trails together. Participants that are interested in enjoying the trails with their dogs, but are not interested in running are welcome to join in the fun too! Race entry starts at just $30 for individual runners/walks with or without dogs.

Comments:The XC Thrillogy Hateya Trail Run (approx. 6.4 miles) and the Hateya Trail Walk (approx. 3.5 miles) will take you on an adventure through the trails in Petrifying Springs Park. The finish of the XCThrillogy Hateya Trail Run is at Shelter One where everyone can enjoy the great food, drinks and a bonfire to warm up at. The run will start with a cross country style start, before you head into the woods in which you will encounter some single track trails, rocks, roots, nasty hills, and possibly snow. This will be perhaps the most challenging course you have run, and if you have never ran a trail race, then the time is now!It is December in Southern Wisconsin so we could have snow on the trails, which would make the trail even better! But you will run on groomed trails, single track trails and some open green ways through the park. This a well marked trail run and we allow runners averaging 15 min mile pace to finish the race. Running course is estimated at 6.4 miles. Walkers, you will have a combination of trails and bike path over an estimated 3.5 miles. The CaniCross event will be approximately 3.5 miles. CaniCross is a growing sport in which the dog pulls the runner through the trails using a harness, gang line, and canicross belt. It is a fun way for both dogs and owners to enjoy the trails and each other.Participants that are interested in bringing their dog to the event, but not running are welcome to join in the fun too!Event entry starts at just $30 for individuals with our without dogs.
