Your participation will
make this event a success?
let's take a closer sniff at the details??.

Everyone knows that the "dog days of summer" occur during the hottest and muggiest part of the season. Webster describes "dog days"
1 : the period between early July and early September when the hot sultry weather of summer usually occurs in the northern hemisphere
2 : a period of stagnation or inactivity

We look at Cardiff's Dog Days of Summer as a day filled with a feel-good "holiday spirit," drawing families (children & dogs) which is now an annual outing where the community will get pleasure from Dog Contests & the Canine Festival.

It is a day out on the square and fun for everyone with the contest and Canine festival. With entertainment for pets & people who love them: Contest, enjoying entertainment, browsing the vendor booths & of course it is as much about seeing other dogs as it is about the festivities. You will meet other dog lovers and reunite with friends.

Although Dog Days provide entertainment for people of all ages, the festival is truly all about dogs. So with a wag of the tail and a big sloppy lick, let's take a closer sniff at how you can participate.

You are invited to be part of this incredible event and be recognized as a sponsor. www.CardiffDogDaysOfSummer.com

Comments:Our July PotLuck and Meetup and Microchipping Event is open to all toy dog fanciers, and thier pups! Its a great opportunity to socialize your pups, meet new friends and old, and enjoy a great potluck buffet! And, if you choose, you can also have your dog microchipped! (there is a $30.00 fee for this service)
We know it has been very hot, so we are bringing a misting system to help human and pups alike. These systems have been known to cool an area as much as 10 degrees! As well, there are multiple large shade trees.
Please be aware that some people have food allergies so if you choose to bring a dish, if the food is spicy , or high in sugar , let people know by labeling it clearly. You are not required to bring anything at all, only if you want to :)
We will have a seperate table set up for the treats for the dogs, if you wish to bring some treats too/instead.
Our Vet Dr. Jacoby and his family has been invited to attend the Pot Luck, as he will be injecting our pups with the micro chips and numbing agent if you wanted it.
Those of you looking for a vet can do a mini meet and greet to see if he is the vet for you. Please do not talk shop, or ask for free vet advice, as he is off work and will want to enjoy the Pot Luck as much as we do.
Thanks all!!

Comments:Please join us as we enjoy an evening of great food and wine, at the W.O.O.F. Whine & Dine!
This evening of food and wine tasting will be a human-only and age 21+ event, which will take place the night before our 3rd Annual W.O.O.F. Walk & Pet Expo on Saturday, June 3rd.
Tickets are $15. Tickets include a commemorative wine glass, and admission into our food and wine tasting event. Also included will be a silent auction.

We are a fun group of dog parkers here in Elk Grove, so please don't get the impression that this will be one of those stuffy wine events - we're all about having a great time and raising money for the improvement of existing dog parks in Elk Grove, as well as building new dog parks. We already have 2 in place and our 3rd is beginning construction this summer. We're not willing to stop there though, so please come and bring a friend - and help support our efforts...and make some new friends in the process.
Please see our posting about the 3rd Annual W.O.O.F. Walk & Pet Expo to be held the following day (Saturday, June 3rd) in Elk Grove Regional Park.

Ten volunteers from California will travel to Romania in May of 2006 to bring awareness to the stray dog problem that has persevered despite numerous attempts to wipe out the homeless dog population. A documentary film will follow the story of the volunteers as they rescue a select number of puppies and bring them home to the United States where they will be adopted into loving homes.

Through the medium of film and television we hope to educate and bring awareness to the world of a predicament that has grown out of proportion. The high-definition documentary not only portrays the journey of the puppies, but also the volunteers as they enter the streets of an industrial town in one of Europe?s poorest countries. Schnuffie Productions is working together with Nancy Janes of Romania Animal Rescue to maximize the results of this once-in-a-lifetime expedition.
