Comments:Facts about the Walk for the Animals
Since its inception in 1990, the Walk has grown in popularity. Over 3,000 walkers in 2004 helped over $290,000 (another recording breaking year) The Walk is the HSBC's largest annual fund raising event All of the proceeds from the Walk benefit the animals in our care Forming a corporate or family/friends "Pack" (a team of walkers) is a fun way for organizations, families and friends to come together for an important cause Walkers can earn Goodies - the more money raised, the more goodies one can earn. With an annual budget of $4 million, the HSBC finds homes for nearly 8,000 animals each year 10 times more adoptions with less money when compared to similar leading animal welfare organizations The Humane Society of Broward County receives no government funding from national organizations. We are funded 100% by private donations and through special fundraising events such as the Walk for the Animals.

Comments:Pet Meals...on wheels, The Spoiled Pooch, and Top Spot Canine are proud to invite you to a K-9 Kocktail Pawty. No breed discrimination here! You & your pooch are invited to a K-9 Kocktail Pawty. Yes, you heard it right; why should dogs sit home alone while their humans are partying on the town? Bring your 4-legged companion to Beef O'Brady's Restaurant (Lake Worth) for great food, snacks, and drinks, to further your canine education by hearing from dog experts in the fields of training, grooming and nutrition. All this, while socializing with fellow dog lovers and their best friends and contributing to a good cause - part of the evening's proceeds will go to benefit a local pet charity.
Local pet professionals will be on hand such as pet photographer, canine masseuse, pet communicator, and caricaturist. If you don't have a fur-baby yet, stop by the Pet Mobile for onsite pet adoptions.
