Pints of NOLA Blonde will also be selling for a special price adjacent to the Cornhole boards so you don?t have to miss a throw. Food will be available for purchase as well. Comments:Hundreds of zombies are set to invade Kenner's Laketown Park during Z-Day 5K + Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 7AM-5PM at 4545 Williams Blvd. The event consists of a 5K military style obstacle course covered in mud & "blood" and will host runners who navigate the course to escape hordes of zombies that will be set loose to "infect" them. Individuals may register either to run the obstacle course or to be made over by the Illusion Transfers as a zombie. Entry fees are $35 for zombies and $70 for runners through Aug. 31. Runner & zombie registration includes a free beer, complimentary zombie SFX make-up (zombies only), FREE fest admission, and a FREE event shirt. The first 200 Levee fans will receive a specially designed t-shirt courtesy of Raising Canes. The Zephyrs have partnered with local businesses to provide giveaways and information about services for your pets. Expect a special appearance from the one and only Scooby-Doo!! Booths will be located behind the Coors Light Party Shack. Also, adoptable from Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue, Louisiana Boxer Rescue and MORE!! Levee tickets are $6.00 per person (dogs welcome), reserved stadium seats are $8.00, $9.00 or $10.00 per person (sorry, no pets). 50% of the proceeds of Levee tickets benefit the programs and services of The Louisiana SPCA.
