Comments:End the dog days of summer with a splash for your dog at the Sixth Annual Maplewood Dog Swim Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 11, 12 and 13 at the Maplewood Family Aquatic Center, 7550 Lohmeyer in Maplewood 63143. Admission is $10 per dog and two-adults per day; $25 per dog and two-adults for a three-day pass and $5 per day per person without a dog. Hours are 4 to 8 pm Friday, September 11; 1 to 5 pm Saturday, September 12, and 1 to 5 pm Sunday, September 13. Rabies vaccination records are required for each dog to participate and must be presented at the front desk. Dogs must be at least four months old. Participants must also sign a liability waver. No children under 13 allowed. Children ages 13 to 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18. No more than two dogs per person. Wading to the knees is permitted. NO human swimming. Dog Park and Aquatic Center rules apply. St. Louis artist Bob O?Neil has designed a special Maplewood Dog Swim T-shirt for the event. The shirts will be on sale at the swim. Small, medium, large and extra large t-shirts will be $15 and XX-Large T-shirts will be $20. The swim is held by the Maplewood Dog Park Group to let St. Louis area dogs have their day at the pool. It's one of the largest pet parades in the world, and 2009 marks its 16th anniversary of being the place to be seen for pet owners. Comments:Strut Your Mutt Dog show is a wonderful event put on by the St. Peters Jaycees to benefit the St. Charles Humane Society. There are 16 different categories to enter your cute, or not so cute furry pooch in. Anything from Handsome Hunk and Prettiest Princess to Pet Tricks and our newest category "A Face Only a Mother Could Love." It is only $5 a category or $4 if you register prior to May 22nd.Don't have a dog? No Problem! There will be BBQ, raffle baskets, attendance prizes and wonderful entertainment courtesy of the dogs!
