Comments:Every year we rush around at the last minute to organize our Westie Walk, and then call, e-mail or write every Westie owner we can think of who might not already be busy that Sunday.Well, now it's time for a change. We have help, the date, we know the location, so why not plan ahead! Tell all your Westie loving friends to mark the date on their 2008 calendars and plan to have a fun filled day in support of those Westies who need our help. You may not want to rush out with Sponsor sheets right now, but then again, you may want to do just that! There are many ways to start fundraising - how about those recycle items you return all year long? The $5 or $10 you get for returning those cans can go into a jar for Westie Rescue and you'll be amazed at how quickly they add up throughout the year. How about adding a corner to your yard sale table - perhaps cookies or some other item made just to support Westie Rescue? Do you find change in your laundry? "Found" money in pockets (before going to the laundry) is another way to add to the jar.Can you think of any other idea that we can all do to save our pennies or other loose change during the next 12 months, to make our next event the best yet? Share your ideas and let's make 2008 the Best and most successful NS Westie Walk ever!
