Comments:On this day, Vermont artist and author Stephen Huneck's Dog Mountain plays homage to dogs and their families- throwing a dog party like no other on 150 acres of dog park. Home of the famous pet memorial the "Dog Chapel"-and the Artist's Gallery, Huneck himself MC's the event and hosts a book signing as well. Dogs and their people can hike and play in the ponds, feast on gourmet dog treats, join contests and games for dogs,(prizes awarded)and have fun together in a completely dog-friendly environment. Last but not least Vermont Mystic Pie, is always on hand to share their latest and greatest flavors as well as proven favorites. a percentage of proceeds of book sales goes to local vermont animal shelters.
