We were made aware of the National Disaster Search Dog Rescue Foundation through KFBK AM Radio Station in Sacramento. Members of the NDSDRF were at the terrorist attack site in New York City for over a week attempting to find victims and survivors. Two of the specially trained dogs, Dusty and Anna, went to help the rescue workers. These dogs had themselves been rescued from pounds and other organizations and then were trained to help recover human victims from disasters like the one in NYC. All of this highly specialized training takes lots of time and money. If you would like to help contribute, donations are gratefully accepted. Please visit their website for more info.
