Phone:
Business Type:dry-cleaning repair shop
Map
Comments:Dogs Allowed: various areas. I am happy to say that my dog comes to work with me every day. My dad owns a dry-cleaning repair shop. We have a warehouse and offices. At first my dad said that the workplace was not a place for a dog. That changed really quick. Now if I don't bring Crow, who is an adorable 2 1/2 year old black Pomeranian to work, my dad gets mad. So does the UPS man, the postman, the diner delivery boy, and a whole bunch of other people who make sure to come up to the office everyday to play with Crow. So therefore I am happy to say that I have turned our workplace into a dog friendly environment!

My dog of 14 years passed away late December, and she did visit the office a few times. My new dog (from the Humane Society) already runs the office for me! She sits in her picture windows and watches Canandaigua go by! It's the BEST beneift I've ever had! As for my FAVORITE PLACE to take ANY Dog??? It's MY house! I LOVE dogs! With a passion!

Comments:Dogs Allowed: various areas. I started bring my puppy to work when she was just 7 weeks old. Tiffany is a Peek a Poo. I bring Tiffany to work 4 days a week and she is loved by everyone, residents, staff and families. Tiffany also has a sister Tipper who comes to work also. The puppies love to play together. Tiffany & Tipper just turned 1 year old and the activity department gave them a birthday party. Everyone has enjoyed watching the puppies grow up. I am hoping to breed Tiffany next month. We hope to have a few more friendly puppies around.

Middletown

Restorative Management Corporation
15 King Street
Middletown, New York 10940
Phone:
Business Type:outpatient counseling clinic
Map
Comments:Dogs Allowed: various areas. I work at Restorative Management Corp., Middletown, New York. I take my now 12 y.o. female Akita to work every day and when she isn't with me, I have my 10 y.o. male Akita with me. I work in an outpatient counseling clinic and each of their presence benefits not only the other staff, but the clients as well. There are so many moments of shared love between humans and my pets each day, that would otherwise go unexperienced. I highly recommend it for employers. Staff and clients are very disappointed if I show up for work without one of my Akitas for them to pet, kiss and love - even walk sometimes.

Newark

Red Suspenders
360 West Union Street
Newark, New York 14513
Phone:315-331-0820
Business Type:computer store

Comments:We own and operate a computer store. When we opened our first store in Newark, we started out with one cat, Mouse. Mouse and all the other cats that have come and gone have lived on the second floor of the store, and delighted the customers with their winning ways. When Dennis adopted Jazz, a Border Collie, naturally he came to work with him too. We found that it really puts the customers at their ease. Most of the first timers come in expecting to be intimidated by COMPUTERS... and then they sit down and have a cat in their lap, or a cold nose in their hand, asking for attention. When we opened the second store in Sodus, Alara had just adopted Sara Gretchen, a senior hound mix, and of course she commutes to Sodus every day. We allow our employees to bring in their dogs as well, provided they are well mannered. Because of the rescue/fostering that Alara does, there is a section of the monthly newsletter devoted to the pets and any updates.
