Park/Recreation Spotlight
Doggie Training in Las Vegas, Nevada
I have seen parks like this in a few major motion films.
The parks where dogs are all off-leash with lots and lots of space to
roam, not just your ordinary 1/2 acre city dog park. Try 12 acres of
off-leash fun right in the city of Las Vegas. But please note that there
is a caveat at Dog Fancier's Park - you cannot let your pooch run wild.
This off-leash park has two main purposes. This first
is that the park serves as a place to actually train your dog (individual
training and organized classes), not just to let your dog loose. The
local government that oversees this dog parks states "Owner's must
have control over their dogs and may be citied if their dogs (while
off leash) interfere with other animals training at the park."
The second purpose is for organized dog groups or clubs to have off-leash
events. Scheduled events throughout the year at this dog park include
flyball tournaments, tracking events, dog shows, events like Strut Your
Mutt and more.
To check upcoming events please call the Nevada Dog Fancier's
Association's 24 hour hotline at 702-564-3647. To schedule your own
canine event, call 702-567-1227.
