Bring Your Pooch on Public Transportation throughout the United States and Canada.

While it is not a wide-spread practice, there are many forms of public transportation throughout the United States and Canada which allow dogs.

We found trains, light rails, buses and ferries that allow pets. The majority of the pet-friendly public transportation allows small dogs only, but we did find some that allow dogs of all sizes. Cities that allow large dogs to ride on their public transportation include Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver.
