Criteria for Ranking the Top 10
Dog-Friendly Cross-Country Ski Resorts and Nordic Centers
Our rankings are based on ski resorts
or nordic centers that rent skis and have dog-friendly trails on the
premises without having to load up people, dogs and skis into the
car and drive to a trailhead. The resorts and centers may or may not
have lodging on the premises. Ski resorts that allow both dogs on
the trails and have dog-friendly lodging top our list. We judged
almost 50 dog-friendly resorts throughout the United States to find
the top ten.
Side Trivia: Which states have the
most dog-friendly cross-country ski resorts and centers?
Maine tops the list with 9
dog-friendly resorts or centers and Colorado comes in a close second
with 7 dog-friendly resorts.
