Once an important iron making area for early settlers, this lively village park now offers many educational and recreational activities. The park has a swap meet every 3rd weekend from March to November, seasonal living history demonstrations, over 45 buildings of the 1800s, direct shopping from local artisans, annual events, and much more. Dogs are allowed in the park and campground for no additional fee. They must be quiet, well behaved, crated or on no more than a 6 foot leash, and picked up after at all times. Dogs are not allowed in any park buildings or swim areas-including beaches.
