Stern Grove is said to be one of the most peaceful getaways in the city. It's foggy sunsets and woodsy retreat belies being in a big city. There are picnic tables, horseshoe courts, walking trails, and it is surrounded by fir, redwood, and eucalyptus trees. There is also a 1/5 mile off leash trail that connects this park to the Pine Lake Park, and the 2 parks comprise an area of about 64 acres. Dogs must be leashed when not in off leash areas, and they must be cleaned up after at all times.
