The Pikes Peak Toll Road allows you to drive your car up to the top of Pikes Peak at an altitude of over 14,000 feet. You may bring your dog with you. Dogs are not allowed on the Cog Railway. Dogs need to be on leash when outside of your car. There are a number of trails at various altitudes where leashed dogs may accompany you. Please keep in mind that the air is very thin at 14,000 feet. Before venturing up to this altitude, you should check with any appropriate doctors and veterinarians. At the summit, do not let your dog off-leash as it is very unsafe to exercise your dog at this altitude. It will take you up to around three hours to make the round trip up the mountain. To get to the toll road from Interstate 25 take Highway 24 West to the toll road.
