This festival-designed park offers plenty of roaming room plus an 8 mile pathway that winds past historic and other sites of interest, lush parks, the Grand and Red Cedar Rivers, and for about a 2 mile walk visitors can cover a million scale miles per footstep as they explore a journey through the solar system. Dogs are allowed at the park and on the trail; they are not allowed off the 8 mile trail in certain marked areas. Potter Park is one of the places where dogs may walk through but not stop. Dogs must be under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
