Leashed dogs are allowed year-round on the boardwalks and promenade at Coney Island, Brighton, Midland, South and Manhattan Beaches. Leashed dogs are allowed on the sand at certain NYC beaches only between October 1 and April 30. These beaches are Rockaway Beach, Coney Island, Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, Midland Beach and South Beach. Dogs are not allowed on the sand at any New York City beaches from May 1 through September 30. Please check the website at http://www.nycgovparks.org for updated information and changes.
