Bought by the city in the early 1900's this neighborhood park is typical of that era, complete with an historic octagonal bandstand overlooking one of the areas most beautiful formal rose gardens with almost 9000 plantings on a two-acre site. Other amenities at this park include a fountain, paved paths, picnic sites, restrooms, disabled access, a playground, public garden, soccer/softball fields, basketball court, an outdoor stage, tennis court, and outdoor wading pool. Dogs of all sizes are allowed for no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs must display tags showing proof of current license and rabies vaccination. Dogs must be well behaved and show no aggressive behavior.
