The Anchorage Trolley Tours take you on a one hour tour of Anchorage that is both informative and entertaining. If they are not too crowded, most of the time they will allow a well-behaved leashed or carried dog on the tour. You pick up the tour at the downtown Log Cabin Visitor Center. It leaves hourly during the summer.
