From Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island (Highway 193) around the bay through 2 counties and covering 90 miles, visitors can follow the story of this historic trail that returned Mobile and the Bay to the Union. There are historic sites plus interpretive exhibits with first hand accounts and illustrations all along the way. Dogs are allowed on the trail and at the historic sites unless otherwise noted. They must be kept leashed and under their owner's control.
