Noted as one of the most complete Civil War battlefields in the country, this park is dedicated to protecting and detailing the battle here that marked the last major skirmish of the Civil War in Northwest Arkansas. This site is also host to the state's largest battle reenactment- which occurs during the first weekend in December on even-numbered years. Dogs are allowed on the grounds; they are not allowed in buildings. They must be leashed and under their owner's control.
