Situated in the Coconino National Forest, 15 miles northwest of Flagstaff, this center is the premier cross-country ski location in Arizona. They are located at an elevation of 8,200 feet. Dogs are allowed on the Skijoring Trail which is a 5.7km beginner and intermediate cross-country ski trail. Rent skis at the center and then head out on the trail. Dogs need to be leashed or on a harness. The trail is generally groomed. If you are looking for a place to stay, the center also has a green (off the grid) yurt rental in the national forest. Pets are allowed in the yurt only with prior permission and cannot be left unattended. Access to the yurt may require a four wheel drive vehicle. Call for more details. To get to the nordic center from Flagstaff, follow the Highway 180 signs towards the Grand Canyon. They are located along Highway 180 at Mile Marker 232.
