Homolovi Ruins State Park
Homolovi Ruins State Park State Route 87 Winslow, Arizona
928-289-4106
Map
This site is Arizona's first archaeological state park. Homolovi, a Hopi word meaning 'place of the little hills,' consists of four major pueblo sites thought to have been occupied between A.D. 1200 and 1425 by ancestors of today's Hopi Indians. Homolovi sites I and II are accessible to visitors. Your leashed dog is welcome to view the sites with you. Just stay on the trail because there are rattlesnakes in the area. The park is located five miles northeast of Winslow on State Route 87. Tale I-40 to Exit 257, then go 1.3 miles north on Highway 87.
