The Powerhouse Visitor Center & Route 66 Museum is pet-friendly. The sign on the door encourages you to bring your well-behaved, leashed or carried dog into the center and discourages you wisely from leaving your dog in the car in the desert heat which is very dangerous. Inside are brochures about Arizona and other destinations along I-40 and Route 66 and a museum about Route 66. The center is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm.
