This park of mostly undeveloped desert has many hiking trails that wind through a variety of habitats and picturesque geographic formations. The diverse ecosystems support a large variety of plants, animals, bird species, and recreation. There is also an educational center and museum at the visitor's center. The park is open daily from 5:30 am to 11pm. Dogs of all sizes are allowed for no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time. It is also very important that dogs are on lead and under owners' control at all times, and cleaned up after.
