Beautiful Lake Powell is called America's Natural Playground and is home to the world's largest natural bridge (standing 290 feet high), the Rainbow Bridge National Monument. The Wahweap Lodge, located in Page, rents powerboats for sight-seeing on the lake. Rent and drive your own boat, and your dog is welcome to join you. If you rent a boat, there is a one half mile trail to the Rainbow Bridge from the Rainbow Bridge courtesy dock. Also at Lake Powell near Bullfrog, there is a 3 mile round-trip hiking trail called Pedestal Alley. For boat rentals, the Wahweap Lodge is located 2.5 miles SE of US 89 at Lake Powell. The best time to visit the lake is during the fall season when temperatures are mild.
