Lost Dutchman State Park

Named after the fabled lost gold mine, this desert park, at 2000 feet, is located at the base of the Superstition Mountains, a place of mystery and legend since early times. The park offers a variety of hiking trails of varying difficulty, nature trails, visitors' center, picnic facilities with restrooms, and special programs throughout the year. Well behaved dogs of all sizes are allowed. Dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. Dogs may not be left unattended in the park or in automobiles. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the trails, but not in public buildings. There is also a 70 unit campground (no hook-ups) with a dump station and showers that allow pets for no additional fee.
