Pets are allowed on most of the BC ferries, including the route from Vancouver to Victoria. This route departs from Tsawwassen which is south of Vancouver and arrives at Swartz Bay, which is north of Victoria. You will need to bring your car on the ferry in order to visit most of the dog-friendly places in Victoria. Dogs are only allowed on the open air car deck and must stay in the car or tied in a designated pet area. Owners must stay with their pets. The travel time for this route is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. Guide dogs and certified assistance dogs are not required to stay on the car decks.
