Red Rock Canyon Open Space
Red Rock Canyon Open Space 31st Street at Highway 24 Colorado Springs, Colorado
719-385-2489 Map
The Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a beautiful series of canyons and hills in the east slope of the Rockies. In 2003 the City of Colorado Springs purchased nearly 800 acres for the purpose of providing trails, hiking, cycling, equestrian activities and trails for people with dogs. Dogs on leash are allowed throughout the picturesque trails. There are over 10 miles of trails in the open space. However, there are two dog loops on which dogs are allowed to be off-leash if they are under voice control. These trails total about 5/8 mile in length and are located just south of the main entrance to the park.
