While dogs are not allowed on the cross-country ski trails, they are allowed on the snowshoe trails. Rent snowshoes from the center and then take your dog on one of the easy or difficult trails. The trails can take an hour or more to complete. Dogs must be leashed on the trails and are not allowed in or near the rental building. To get there from Denver, take Interstate 70 west to the Frisco/Breckenridge exit number 203. Go south on Highway 9/Summit Blvd. for 2 miles past Frisco's main street. Go .5 miles and turn left into the Peninsula Recreation Area parking and the Nordic Log Lodge.
