This nordic center welcomes dogs on their cross country and snowshoe trails. The cross country trails are groomed. There is a $3 daily "tail-fee" for dogs and a maximum of 2 dogs per skier. Dogs can be off-leash on the trails but need to be under direct voice control. You can rent cross-country skis or snowshoes from the nordic center. If you are looking for a place to stay, the Ute Meadows Bed and Breakfast Inn allows pets. They are located next to the nordic center. This center is located 2 hours east of Grand Junction and 4 hours west of Denver. From Interstate 70, take Highway 82 south towards Aspen. Go 12 miles then at Carbondale take Highway 133 south towards Redstone. Go 5 miles past Redstone and turn left on County Road 3. Go 3 more miles and turn right just after you cross the Crystal River bridge.
