The Hamden Dog Park at Bassett
The Hamden Dog Park at Bassett On Waite Street at Ridge Road Hamden, Connecticut
06517 Map
The Hamden Dog Park is completely fenced with a brick path and patio, a separate small dog area with separate entrance, benches and picnic tables (mostly for the dogs to play on or under), and a compressed gravel trail. It is wheelchair accessible. Dogs of all sizes are allowed, but owners/custodians must carry their leashes on them at all times. All dogs must have current license and shot tags on their collar/harness; be accompanied and in sight of their owners/custodians at all times, and under voice control. If you have a small, older, infirmed, or a shy dog, use the SMALL DOG AREA. You must clean up after your pet immediately, dispose of their waste properly, and fill in any holes they may dig. Female dogs in heat, and aggressive dogs are prohibited in the park and for the safety of all, immediately leash your dog if it exhibits aggressive behavior and leave the dog park area. Dogs younger than four months should not be brought to the park.
