In addition to looking after 1 of the largest adjoining areas of coastal uplands left in the county, it also gives protective shelter to numerous bird, plant, and wildlife species. They offer Ranger programs and a variety of multi-use trails. Well mannered dogs are welcome in the park; they must be on no more than a 6 foot hand held leash and be cleaned up after promptly. Dogs are not allowed on beaches or buildings, and they may not be tethered to trees, bushes, or park property. Dogs may not be left unattended for more than 30 minutes.
