Rich in natural, cultural, and military history, this park commemorates the 2nd Seminole War of 1835 and preserves the natural communities as they existed almost 200 years ago. There is an abundance of wildlife, a nature trail, playground, sheltered picnic areas, rec hall, and interpretive exhibits. Well mannered dogs are welcome in the park; they must be on no more than a 6 foot hand held leash and be cleaned up after promptly. Dogs are not allowed on beaches, swim areas, playgrounds, buildings, or food service areas, and they may not be tethered to trees, bushes, or park property. Dogs may not be left unattended.
