Rich in natural and cultural history, this park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features a boardwalk through the area to view the birdlife, picnic sites, and a visitor center. Well mannered dogs are welcome in the park; they must be on no more than a 5 foot hand held leash and be cleaned up after promptly. Dogs are not allowed in buildings and they may not be tethered to trees, bushes, or park property. Dogs may not be left unattended in a vehicle or in the park at any time.
