Besides offering a visitor center that details the history of this 245 acre park consisting of 3 islands, the park also offers a variety of recreational activities and wildlife viewing on the nature trail. Well mannered dogs are welcome in the park; they must be on no more than a 6 foot hand held leash and be cleaned up after promptly. Dogs are not allowed on beaches, swim areas, playgrounds, buildings, or food service areas, and they may not be tethered to trees, bushes, or park property. Dogs may not be left unattended.
