Between easy campus access, free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast and pet-friendliness, the Best Western Athens has plenty of value to offer our guests. With 70 accommodations, the majority of which are non-smoking, this two-story, exterior-corridor hotel is built with solid, soundproof, all-masonry construction. Interiors are adorned with classic furniture including wing-backed chairs and oversized writing tables — surprisingly charming for a budget stay. In-room conveniences include flat-panel TVs with HBO, free Wi-Fi and wired internet, microwaves and mini-fridges, while comforts range from all-cotton thermal blankets, oversized resort-style towels and massaging showerheads. The pet-friendly property has free parking and offers a daily complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, muffins and breads, cereals, juices and plenty of gourmet coffee. A five-minute stroll to the north end of the University of Georgia, downtown Athens and some of the town's most renowned music dives, the Best Western is near plenty of restaurants and businesses. Those with an appreciation for the great outdoors may well want to escape to the North Oconee River Greenway and then on to the Sandy Creek Nature Center, both within a 10-minute drive. Athens-Ben Epps Airport is five miles from the hotel. Feeding the need for a filling, free breakfast and complimentary internet, the pet-friendly Best Western scores for its "awesome" location "so close" to clubs and campus.
