Unique in that this complex of buildings date back to the late 1700's and has well preserved items of life from then, it is also rare in that the same family still has control of the estate surrounding the section bequeathed to the city. Dogs are allowed throughout the grounds; they are not allowed in the buildings. Dogs must be leashed and under their owner's control at all times.
