Goose Lake Prairie State Natural Area
Goose Lake Prairie State Natural Area 5010 N Jugtown Road Morris, Illinois
60450 815.942.2899 Map
At 2,537 acres, this natural area is the largest remainder of tall grass prairie in the state with miles of hiking trails including a trail over a floating bridge that allow visitors great plant, bird, and wildlife viewing. There are also marshlands, picnic areas, and the Cragg Cabin-a testament to the pioneer spirit. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the trails; they must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs are not allowed in hunting areas.
