Glacial floodwaters helped to develop the wetlands, swamps, and ancient forests of this 14,314 natural area and in addition to being a bird lover's paradise, there are a number of trails to explore-including boardwalks and a canoe trail through forested swamps, and an educational wetlands center. Dogs are allowed throughout the park; they must be on leash except during hunting season and cleaned up after.
