Although there are plenty of recreational opportunities at this park with a scenic wetland, a large oak-savanna grove, an 80 acre man-made lake, and several trails, there are several improvements in the works to expand the facilities. This park is also home to an 8 acre fenced off-leash dog exercise area for large dogs and a 2.5 acre fenced park for dogs less than 30 pounds. Dogs must be leashed when not in the off-lead area. Annual permits are required and accessible through the website or at any of the Forest Preserve locations. Dogs must be under their owner's control at all times.
