This popular trail offers 18 miles of paved paths alongside Lake Michigan. Walkers, joggers, rollerbladers, bicyclists, and of course dogs, frequent this path. One of the starting points is at Lake Shore Drive and Wacker Drive, where the Riverwalk Gateway is located. Effective August 2003, dogs are allowed on part of the beach near Montrose. Dogs can run leash-free on the beach but must be leashed from the parking lot to the beach.
