Dogs are not allowed on all of the beaches, but are allowed on two beaches which are located at the far east side of the park. One of the beaches is near Mt. Baldy and the other is near Central Avenue. Check with the visitor center when you arrive for exact locations. Pets are also allowed on some of the trails, campground and picnic area but must be leashed and cleaned up after. The park is located on Lake Michigan. To get there, take Highway 94 east and take Exit 26 Chesterton/49 North and head north.
