This National Historic Landmark district is the oldest and most famous area of the city and covers 85 historic blocks of an eclectic variety of entertainments, dining, shopping, and activities. Dogs are allowed throughout the common areas of the district; it is up to individual shops whether a dog is allowed inside. Dogs must be leashed and under their owner's control at all times.
