From a 1630's colonial village to a lively shopping, dining, and cultural hub of activity with 100's of businesses along its historic red brick walkways, this area effectively blends the college flow, local community, and tourists (that come to see everything from the flavorful street performers to still standing landmarks), to give this Mecca a unique sense of community. Friendly dogs are welcome throughout the square, but it is up to individual stores as to whether they may go inside. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
