A park since 1858, this scenic wooded and hilled peninsula is the place for great outings with shaded seaside grounds, a public pier, grand ocean views, numerous eateries, activity/gaming areas, an historic 1866 carousel, kiddie rides, a bandstand and seating area for outdoor concerts, and more. Dogs are welcome throughout the park and the water areas; they are not allowed in buildings. Dogs must be friendly, under their owner's control at all times, and leashed and cleaned up after.
