Many train for and wait with anticipation for this fun, annual winter carnival and dog-mushing event - sanctioned by the International Sled Dog Racing Association with competitors coming from all over the country. Indoor and outdoor activities include fund raising events, horse drawn hay rides, ping pong tournaments, snowshoe and nature hikes, skijoring, dog sled rides, ice fishing, and more. Visitors can also sign up to learn how to "mush" their own sled and how to cross country ski with a dog team (skijoring), or reserve a space on the observation deck. This 2 day event (weather permitting) is held at Five Fingers Farm and sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce. It will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 9 am until 2:30 pm.
